Kracked Screens offers very competitive rates, and we will pay for shipping costs to retrieve the LCD’s. Recycling LCD is an eco-friendly solution in a growing market, and our program repairs and recycles LCD to emerging markets, thereby reducing waste and conserving resources.
How to pack LCD screens
These instructions cover how to pack your smartphone screens for shipment to Kracked Screens Recycle Program.
Here are instructions and pictures of how we would like you to pack your LCD digitizers so you can send them to us. If you are going to ship more than 160 pieces, please use a dual-layer box with enough space to allow padding and cushion space. We want to give you credit for all your screens, so we want them all to get to us intact.
1
Screens should be placed into the plastic trays that we send our replacement parts in. The bubble wrap shown on the right will also be acceptable for screen protection.
2
Once the screens have been placed in the plastic trays, stack them in a box as shown. (Make sure to leave room for packaging peanuts to increase protection)
3
Fill the empty areas of the box with packaging peanuts. This will secure the screens and make sure they are not moving while in transit.
4
Make sure to fill the top of the package with peanuts, just in case the box turns over during shipping. This way your package will be even more secure.
5
Once you’ve finished packaging your box, make sure its taped together nicely to keep the box from opening at any time
6
Finally, print out the shipping label and tape it onto the box. Once the box has been packed and the label appropriately taped down, drop off the package at your nearest FedEx location and you are good to go!
